Entrepreneurs are the major driving economic force in our great country. It is critical that they continue to be supported not just as business people but as business leaders.
This research will give voice to Canadian entrepreneurs about how they want to be supported when it comes to developing themselves as leaders.
Your Answers Matter
Many of Canada's entrepreneurial support organizations (ESOs), including accelerators, foundations, and government agencies, deliver programming that is not backed by research.
This research project will create more clarity and consensus on what matters most to entrepreneurs in the area of professional development - more specifically, leadership development.
Who Should Participate:
- Canadian founders, co-founders and business owners
- Businesses that have been operational for at least 6 months
- Individuals representing a variety of sectors
- Companies with anywhere from sole proprietors to over 1000 employees
- First-time founders and veteran founders alike

100 Founder Interviews
We will conduct 100 interviews with founders around Canada using the same set of questions around leadership, mindset and attitudes.
Diverse Demographics
We will be interviewing leaders from various sectors and company sizes, as well as from different ethnicities and backgrounds to best represent the Canadian population.
Research data will be compiled into a PDF report as well as a podcast highlighting the project's findings.

Laura and Jonathan are professional leadership coaches and co-founders of Level 7 Leadership. They are (mildly...ok REALLY) obsessed with all things leadership and empowering entrepreneurs to lead fearlessly in their businesses and lives.
They are key contributors to the Flourishing Enterprise Institute and have been (and continue to be) involved in projects with many organizations around the world including Founders Institute, Digital Opportunity Trust, Unltd, Impact Zero, and Represented Foundation.
